A Digital X-ray
A digital X-Ray (radiography) system can take a picture of your teeth without a film. Because the image is digital it enables Dr. Choe to show the image on a computer screen. The digital technology allows the doctor to zoom in on a single tooth and sharpen it, all of which can aid in your diagnosis. Digital imaging is safer for the environment since there is no need for processing chemicals, and production of a digital X-Ray is nearly instantaneous. The digital X-Ray offers the advantage of an 80% reduction in radiation and no need for film. The digital X-Ray has the ablity to use color contrast in the image and check the density of an area. These and other features of digital X-Ray give the doctor the ability to come up with a better diagnosis.
Odyssey 2.4G Diode Laser
Odyssey Diode Laser is dental laser that is used for Gum treatment and/or surgery for the correction of gum defects. In the past, a steel blade was used to correct gum defects such as excessive tissue, implant surgery, or tissue biopsy. When a blade is used, there's a lot of bleeding and sutures need to be placed in order to cut the gum. However, with the use of the laser, there is no need for cutting nor sutures. There's also less post-operative pain. No Pain is always good.
CT, or CAT scans, are special X-ray tests that produce cross-sectional images of the body using X-rays and a computer. It is also referred to as computerized axial tomography.
